Abstract:

Two-dimensional barcode is an optical machine-readable label widely used for information transmission. The QR code contains data easily read by any QR code scanner, which may lead to privacy leaks of sensitive information. To protect private information, many scholars use data hiding technology to implant a pre-delivered sensitive message into QR code. In the present survey, we introduce the embedding strategies of existing secret hiding schemes for QR code application. Besides, we show the performance comparison of five representatives in the term of embedding capacity and robustness.
